The Victoria Falls

Today was our free day, our plan was to head to the falls and then maybe see the market and a bit of town. I had a nice sleep in until around 9, then me and Elin went for a long walk before brunch. Hanna and Elin needed to pack before going anywhere since theyre leaving tomorrow. So while they packed i sat in the sun and just chilled. We had lunch by the pool before our taxi would come and take us to the falls. When at the falls you couldn't pay with card cause their machine had broke, i had cash but the others didn't so we had to walk all the way in the hot sun from the falls to the town to get out money. On our way there people tried to sell us stuff and no matter how many times you said no they just kept on. We finally got to the bank where you take out money. Hanna and Elin took out their money and Hanna accidentely took out 400USD (she mistaked it for crowns) which made her uncomfortable to walk around with. But anyways we walked back to the falls and on our way back this creepy guy kept stalking us and was not pleasent nor appropriate at all...he probably hadn't seen white blonde girls with shorts before. Anyway, we felt really uncomfortable so we just hurried to the falls and he followed us the whole way. We got in and omg it was just beautiful! Rainbows litterary everywhere and it was just stunning. As we walked further to the top, more and more water poured on us from the falls, i still can't believe how so much water can somehow splash up like rain. We were completely soaked like we had been swimming with our clothes. It was insane. But all worth it!! We ordered some slushy and sat in the sun with some monkeys and warthogs to dry a bit. We had told the taxi to pick us up in town after and had a set time, but now we didn't feel comfortable going in there knowing the creepy guy was outside and Hannah had so much cash on her. And we couldn't call and their phoneline was down (such as their card machine) so they couldn't call either. So we asked the slushy man to call so he called the taxi for us on his phone, he was really kind and helpful! So we went out from the falls and straight into the taxi and got back home. I just took a shower straight away cause that water was so weird and smelly and i was completely soaked. After we made ourselves ready we would go out for dinner. But the other volunteers who were on their way home from their AP trip would join aswell so we waited for them. We were so hungry so we thought we would get some fruit and bars at the store...but what we got instead was chocolate, chips and candy (do not shop when youre hungry) so we just sat eating that while watching the movie Bert and Gravity. While we did that, a huge storm passed us and the power was cut out. So we all just sat snuggled up with lights and it was just pouring down outside with thunder and lightning just above us. After a while they came, they were delayed cause of the storm that had caused flooded highways. But we managed to get in a taxi (which furthermore was late also) into town to get thai food. We all litterary ordered pad thai and said MILD. Even though we said mild, the food was so spicy my mouth was litterary on fire and i could not feel my lips. I wonder how it is if you say you want hot xD After dinner we all just went straight to bed all exhausted from the day ;) I fell asleep quite late cause Ida had to pack her last things so not much sleep for me x)
