Rafting and cruising

Today was our free day. Me and Hannah woke up early to catch the bus at 7 in the morning to go white water rafting on the Zambezi river. We were so nervous yet excited. First we came to their office which laid just by the falls with a great view, there they just talked a bit about safety(what you do if you fall off or if the boat flips) and about the gear.  Then we were off for a 30-60 min drive upstream where we would start. We had to walk down to the water which was a horrible walk, so steep, slippery and scary. I fell and hurted my butt and legs x) it was so so steep and you had to like slide down these rocks and "waterfalls", there was nothing to hold on to, i hoped this would be worse than the acual rafting xD We finally got down to the water and teamed up, we were with some people from Namibia who was very nice but crazy, they didn't believe i was 19, they thought i was much younger. Anyway, when we were about to walk into the boat me and Hannah looked at each other and said "i dont like deep water" "me neither" "what are we doing here?" Haha like we were so terrified. This rafting is not the easiest one, its probably one of the worst in the world. There are levels in rafting and level 6 you don't go into cause you die. We did level 5.
So we started training a bit like how we would paddle and how we would crouch down, you had max 5sec to crouch down, otherwise you fall out. I was terrified im not gonna lie, i was scared for my life. We came into a turn and the guide told us to hold on for our lives cause if you fell in there (cause there was like creating tornados under water) you could get dragged down for 2-3 min and it's 40m deep there. I was so scared. I got so much water in my eyes, face, mouth, everywhere and i just held on for my life. We saw crocs in the water also, which made me not wanna fall in even more. The last and worst part (which furthermore is called "Terminator 5") was awful. I saw it and i was like "you gotta be kidding me". Like it was just insane, but we got through it and i did not fall over *peew*. I was shaking so bad but felt so good afterwards, like all happy and hyper that i made it out alive hehe. We had to walk all the way up now again, and the sun was out so it was like 40c, it was sooo warm and you were so exhausted from the rafting you just had no energy, and im sick also which made the climb worse, it was vertikal on some points. A guide asked if i wanted him to carry me but i really wanted to make this, so he just held my hand and helped me up and pushed me to go further. That was the worst walk i have done in my life. But while up there we got food and cold drinks, omg that was sooo good. You could buy video and pics so we did that and picking them up tomorrow. We then went home to rest and shower and i did some skype calls, then we were off again (no rest here no) to a boat cruise where you got snacks and all you could drink, Hanna and Elin joined us. There was a guy, Mojo from England who was in our age, he was traveling alone and lived at the backpackers lodge. He sat with us on the boat and we talked and played drinking games and just had a good time. We made him talk Swedish which was hilarious!! On the cruise we saw mainly hippos which was really cute and i wanted to see them before i went so now i can check that off my list ;) The view was amazing and it was stunning there with the sunset and the animals! Saw a baby hippo aswell which was super cute! Too bad i can't show my camera pictures yet. On our way back there was lightning which was so cool hehe, we came back home, ate and just rested. Im so tired from the rafting so i will go to bed early ;) Im missing the lions, gonna be nice to see them tomorrow! :)
