Botswana

Woke up early today, had brekkie at the lodge and then the bus came to pick me Lori, Jason and Ashley up for our trip to Chobe, Botswana. It took about an hour to get to the border and we passed by an area where 4 countries meet, Zim-Namibia-Zambia-Botswana, pretty cool acually. We went through the border which always scared the shit outta me cause if you stay longer than 30 days(which is the lenght of the visa) they start to suspect things and they don't realise the meaning of volunteering and see it as a bad thing (that we work and take their money which isn't true). So at the border the man who took my passport to check just started asking all types of questions of where i was staying and what i was doing in Zim and why, then he asked me if i volunteerd, which i could not say yes to so i said "what do you mean?" and i just wanted to get out of there and he asked the question again really serious but then Ashley saved me and said we were traveling around with those other guys who just passed the security, peew, i really can't lie x) When we were through the security we went through an Ebola screening where they just asked some questions, then we went through a foot security so we had to dip our feet in something haha. And then we were off to a lodge where we filled out some forms and then went out on a game count on the Chobe river. We saw crocs, fat baby hippos, impala, lots of birds, elephant and buffalo. We were out on the water for around three hours and then went back to that lodge for lunch. It was buffee with starters, warm dish and dessert. Gosh i ate so much cause i didn't really have much for brekkie cause i was in a rush. After the lunch we went for a drive in the Chobe national park. We saw so many animals up close, impala, tiny baby elephants, giraffe, buffaloo, etc. It was so so cool and the view was just amazingly beautiful. I still can't believe that theyre acually living there, it felt like i was in a massive Zoo or something haha. I just sat there thinking that this acually was real and that i were in Africa, but i just couldn't believe it, it was just so amazingly beautiful. After that we had to rush to the border where i had to buy myself a new visa and again i was really scared haha xD Me and Lori really had to go to the toilet, we had to go when we went through the border the first time but when we saw the toilets we made up our mind but now we just really had to go and it was awful. You couldn't flush so imagine how much gross things were in there, there was lots of pee and water on the floor and flies and no toilet seat and it smelled SO bad, and NO toilet paper, TIA is the only thing i have to say here x) After that horrible experience we went back to the bus and home to Zim again. When i were in Botswana you could just see how different it was and i felt so good coming back to Zim and it felt like going home, gosh how i love this place! We went back home and there was a huge thunderstorm so no wifi or electricity, TIA again x) Ashely had gotten too much sun so she wasn't feeling well so she went straight to bed. Then we just had dinner and played some skipbo and just talked, the wifi is off due to the storm so we can't really watch a movie or anything and i really wanna shower before the power goes off again haha so ill just go to bed now after a long fun day :)
